We provide a comprehensive rehabilitation service for a range of both musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. We specialise in complex, chronic conditions and aim to provide a quality service with highly qualified specialist staff.

Hallam Physio at WorkMusculoskeletal:
Muscle, joint and spinal problems, whip-lash injuries, vertigo and headaches, sports injuries, arthritis and degenerative conditions, work related disorders, compensation cases. We are also specialists in chronic pain rehabilitation.

Neurological:
Stroke, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, plus many other less common neurological conditions. The team can also provide Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) training for the lower limb.

Older Adult Rehabilitation: This service provides physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation to the older adult population including post surgery, falls rehab, mobility and exercise therapy.

Facial Palsy: Facial Palsy can be caused by many different conditions, some of the ones commonly seen are, Bells palsy, Post surgery (after removal of acoustic neuroma), following trauma, Congenital palsies and Ramsey Hunt Syndrome.

Women’s Health
Back and Pelvic Pain during and after Pregnancy, Incontinence, Bladder Problems, Pelvic Floor Exercises & Advice before and after Gynaecological Surgery, Painful Sexual Intercourse, Constipation, Antenatal Advice and Exercises, Preparation for Labour, Postnatal Problems, Getting your Figure Back after Childbirth, Separated Abdominal Muscles (Diastasis Rectus Abdominus).

Chronic Fatigue/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME)
CFS/ME involves a complex range of symptoms that includes fatigue, malaise, headaches, sleep disturbance, difficulties with concentration and muscle pain. The pattern and intensity of symptoms vary between people, and during the course of each person’s illness. People often have symptoms for many years before CFS/ME is diagnosed. The causes and disease processes of CFS/ME are still not understood.

Paediatric (Children’s) Neurology;
Traumatic brain injury, stroke, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and developmental delay.

Mon-Friday 8am - 8pm
Saturday mornings by prior arrangement
Home visits by arrangement

Treatment Time
Assessment times: 45-60 minutes
Follow-up treatment: 30 minutes (60 minutes for neurological conditions)

Charges
• Musculoskeletal: £50 initial assessment and £38 follow-up, Students £30
• Neurological patients: £50 (1 hour)
• All home visits: £60 plus travel
• Vestibular rehab, Chronic Fatigue/ME and FES please telephone to discuss costs.
